Originally from Devon, Sadie is of mixed heritage with roots stretching back to the Indian Islands, Africa, Scandinavia and Ireland.
A Fine Art Sculpture graduate from Ulster University, she's lived in Co.Galway for the past twenty four years with her husband, furniture designer, Mark Hand and their four children. During that time she has conducted countless art projects with individuals, school groups and the wider community all over Ireland.
The concept of STORY is central to both her art and healing practices.

Sadie was extremely lucky to attend a progressive primary school where creativity was encouraged on all levels. Realising the importance of this as an adult has been the driving force of her work with children.
"Children need art, stories, poems and music as much as they need love and food, fresh air and play." Philip Pullman.
Through both her art and healing practices Sadie has had some very profound moments and overall her life has been a sequence of magic and miracles.
